One is privy to a spectacular sunrise which greets the early riser. The late bloomers can feast their eyes on a spectacular sunset; add to that a visit from eland, damara-dik-dik or other small buck. Their feathered bush buddies and co-inhabitants, pheasant, partridge and noisy plover, dart in and out of the bush. Swallows, disturbed by the cry of a grey lourie (go-away bird), inject life into the bush.
BASE CAMP lies in the heart of predominantly virgin bush and wood land with vast untouched areas of land. Nature carved a natural amphitheatre from majestic rock formations in which artists perform during high season. This natural wonder lends itself to celebrations of the imagination.
BASE CAMP NAMIBIA offers Unimog and Land Cruiser sunset cheese and wine outings. A must do for the discerned nature lover.
The camp site boasts 9 beautiful tree shaded camp sites. A splash pool for the children or for the brave hearted adults invites you to cool down after a hot sunny day.
This lovely self-contained wooden cabin is next to a waterhole. Eland, Kudu and Zebra gather here to quench their thirst whilst the sun sets and the night calls for a braai and a peaceful night’s rest. Clean, rustic ablution facilities are built into the natural rock face. An outdoor ‘donkey’ for hot water supply completes this experience. The cabin sleeps 4 (linen included).
We provide fully-equipped tents for your convenience. 3 tents are available with each consisting of 2 stretchers, bedding, towels and camping chairs.
Ablution facilities are shared with the rest of the campsite, with warm showers and flush toilets.
A beautiful thatched roof house offers 2 bedrooms (each with a double bed) and a loft with 2 single beds. Fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining room, outside braai and a lovely veranda from where you can enjoy a peaceful evening. Close to the house is a waterhole where damara dik-dik, eland and other animals come to drink.
Day visitors are welcome to make use of our camping braai facilities and swimming pool.
A trip to showcase this rugged terrain; witnessing unforgettable scenes from various vantage points ends at the amphitheatre with a cheese/meat and wine finale.
